The highlight of Melbourne Central is the Shot Tower. It was build in 1890 and was surrounded by warehouses. As Melbourne develops, other buildings were demolished but significant 50m tall Shot Tower was carefully preserved and covered by 77 tall geometrical cone of Melbourne Central shopping centre.
The used to be a hot-air balloon and Wright Brothers airplane hanging from the cone, but unfortunately it was taken out during shopping centre renovation. |
