Adelaide - the compact and elegant capital of South Australia is the fifth-largest city in the country with population above a million people.
First impression of the city is very pleasant. Thanks to a mild Mediterranean climate with a 15° C average daily temp. in winter and a 29° C average over the summer period, easy access to the ocean and beaches, wonderful historic buildings, 29 green parks and of course festivals, Adelaide became a very nice place to stay. |

Oink-oink, look what a tasty burger I've found in the rubbish! | The Adelaide balls and the bored teenager. | Self-portrait in a mirror. |
Continuation of Rundle mall is Rundle Street which is a "trendy" place.
By contrast if you walk opposite direction on the Rundle mall you'll get to Hindley Street - drug-users and prostitute place, quite dangerous for tourists!
Some people told us Hindley Street is not dangerous any more, but we've seen two armed policeman there, it should be a reason for them to be there! |

South Australia is a place of beautiful wines. Barossa Valley is a world-wide known wine region.
National Wine Centre of Australia - opened to the public in July 2001, located in Adelaide's Botanic Gardens represents every wine region in Australia. If you want to try different wines from every state in the country you do not have to go nowhere , you can do it there. |

Here are the photos from New Years Eve in Adelaide. People comes out to
the streets to celebrate the New Year. The streets are full of loud music
and there is a feeling of carnival.
The clock on City Council Tower bell midnight and there are fireworks
- not as spectacular as in Sydney,
but also very nice. |
