William Ricketts was an artist who purchased land
for his own mountain hideaway and to create clay sculptures. It took him
many long years to create a beautiful park full of magic creations. The
muse for William's activity was aboriginal and eastern religions. Each sculpture
has a detailed description explaining its purpose and motivation. William
Ricketts was an exocentric man and believed he had a mission for the whole
of mankind...

Wood Carving
Have just found your site thru Billy Connelly,s trip around Oz. We are a small wood carving class and are interested in the carvings. We are not professionals but appreciate the fine detail of the carvings. I intend to distribute the prints among our members hopefully to give them some inspiration. I am visiting Oz in the near future an have added a visit to William Ricketts Sanctuary to my 'places to visit' Posting 43 by David Beattie Wales. UK Monday December 09th, 2002 02:00 PM
