St Kilda is one of the most famous beach in Melbourne. Its situated not
far from city centre, only 15 minutes in the car or you can get here on
the tram.
St Kilda is a little bit strange, it has an ambiguous reputation. On
one hand it has beautiful views on the city, yachts, and ocean. The adjacent
suburb is well-known for it's nice eateries and bars. But it has another
side and is famous for drugs, drug-users and streetwalkers (Prostitutes).
But both sides live together happily enough, and it is safe for everyone,
even at night.
It's rare to see people swimming on St Kilda beach. But in the evenings
it's full of walking, jogging, biking and roller-skating people. |
